General Information

ORDERING
Appenx, Inc. requires all purchase orders to be faxed, mailed or electronically transmitted to avoid errors or duplication. Orders confirmed in the mail must be clearly marked “Confirming, do not duplicate.” We will be happy to accept a verbal request for samples only. There is no minimum order requirement. Whenever possible, do not transcribe names to the purchase order; include the customer’s original list of names with the purchase order. Appenx does acknowledge orders if requested and will welcome your call on our toll-free number to check on an order, verify a ship date or trace a shipment.

PRICING
U.S.—All prices are list prices F.O.B. Origin (see Shipping)
CANADA—All prices are list prices F.O.B. origin Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) (see Shipping), and do not include taxes, special delivery or installation charges. Canadian invoices are in U.S. Dollars.
FOREIGN—All prices are USD list prices exworks Appenx, Inc., Holland, Michigan (see Shipping) and do not include any duty, taxes, special packaging, special delivery or installation charges.

INSTALLATION AND PROGRAMMING
Please call us for Wayfinding and Installation quotes. Wayfinding includes initial design specifications, budgeting, planning, finish specifications, ADA requirements and scheduling.

PAYMENT TERMS
Payment is normally due within 30 days of the date of the Invoice for approved credit accounts. Terms that differ from our norm will be stated on our invoice. New accounts may be required to send a deposit with a purchase order and/or submit a minimum of three credit trade references with a bank account number for credit check. Allow two to three weeks for processing and approval.

SHIPPING
DOMESTIC—All shipments within the continental United States are sent F.O.B. origin ground service (FedEx/UPS).
CANADA—All shipments to Canada are sent ground service (UPS) through a broker of record.
FOREIGN— All shipments are normally sent (FedEx/UPS) International Expedited door-to-door service unless specified otherwise by the customer.
We cannot ship to a P.O. Box by FedEx/UPS ground service.

QUOTES AND SERVICE
Our Sales/Service Representatives will provide graphic specification sheets and quotations based on your criteria. They are eager to assist you with any questions and can work closely with you in specifying and pricing our products. They will work on your behalf to assure prompt shipment and delivery.

DAMAGE CLAIMS
All goods are carefully packaged for shipment, but there is still the possibility of in-transit damage. It is very important to examine all cartons for apparent damage at the time they arrive. Since all shipments are F.O.B. Origin (customer pays freight), claims for damage, concealed or otherwise, are the responsibility of the customer and must be filed with the carrier within five days from the receipt of the merchandise. Do not completely unpack merchandise. Keep the damaged merchandise and carton with packaging until the carrier makes an official inspection. PLEASE EXAMINE ALL MERCHANDISE CAREFULLY AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE IT.

SHORTAGES
All claims for shortages must be made in writing within ten business days of receipt of order. No claims will be allowed thereafter.

RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES
No merchandise may be returned or canceled without our approval, return authorization number and packaging/ shipping instructions. Authorized cancellations or returns are subject to a 25% charge. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted and will be returned freight collect. Replacement product is assessed a 5% shipping/handling fee if Appenx is not at fault. “Dash” service orders and maintenance orders are shipped within 48 hours from the time we receive them and are not subject to change or cancellation. A purchase order is final and binding; any changes to an order received and entered must be in writing and are subject to our approval.

SIGN MAINTENANCE
Appenx has a bulk maintenance program called “DRAW-DOWN ACCOUNT” that minimizes the ordering and shipping cost to maintain your installed facility signs. Please call our Sales/Service 1-800-443-6032 for details.

CUSTOM PRODUCT / SPECIALS
Appenx, Inc. will not inventory finished parts or special colored materials to maintain custom or special products unless specific arrangements have been made with us.

WARRANTY
Appenx, Inc. warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship from the date of shipment for a period of one year, when the products are installed and used in accordance with the company’s published instructions. The Company’s obligation and the purchaser’s remedy pursuant to the foregoing warranty are limited as follows: to repair or replace, at the Company’s option, products which prove to be defective within the warranty period. The Company may request the return of the defective product. Replacement or repaired product will be returned to the purchaser at the Company’s expense. Purchasers may be required to establish that the product was installed according to the Company’s specifications and that the claim is within the warranty period by producing the Invoice for the product or such other evidence as may be reasonably satisfactory to the Company.

Extended Warranty: Appenx, Inc. Warrants the face surface of its Outsert® Modular Signage ADA/Tactile tiles not to peel, crack, wear or fade for the life of the product when the products are installed and used in accordance with the Company’s published instructions. This warranty is specifically for and limited to the Outsert® Modular Signage ADA/Tactile tiles (A, B, Y & Z series, does not include Outsert® Non-Modular Signage ADA/Tactile signs). The Company’s obligation and the purchaser’s remedy pursuant to the foregoing warranty are limited as follows: to repair or replace, at the Company’s option, the tactile tile for the cost of our published, minimum order shipping charge.

The Company will not be held liable for the removal or the installation of the tile(s) under this warranty.
